Suggested time:
all- year
center of the province of Treviso, in a hilly area

This route runs along the Bosco del Montello and the path, called Panoramica, is oriented towards the Piave. The site is particularly interesting for the landscape and it is fascinating also for the numerous memories that relate to the events of the War.
The tour includes a stop in the King Observatory, so called in honor of King Vittorio Emanuele III, who watched the battles from the loop-holes; then the English Cemetery, the Shrine where Francesco Baracca crashed with his airplane; the ruins of the Abbey of Sant 'Eustace, linked to the name of Giovanni della Casa, who wrote the "Etiquette" there, up to the Ossario of Nervesa della Battaglia that houses the remains of more than 9,000 soldiers; and finally the historic Barca da Ponte, on the banks of the Piave to the Volitive Temple of the so called Isola dei Morti.
