This route runs along the Bosco del Montello and the path, called Panoramica, is oriented towards the Piave. The site is particularly interesting for the landscape and it is fascinating also for the numerous memories that relate to the events of the War. The tour includes a stop in the King Observatory, so called in honor of King Vittorio Emanuele III, who watched the battles from the loop-holes; then the English Cemetery, the Shrine where Francesco Baracca crashed with his airplane; the ruins of the Abbey of Sant 'Eustace, linked to the name of Giovanni della Casa, who wrote the "Etiquette" there, up to the Ossario of Nervesa della Battaglia that houses the remains of more than 9,000 soldiers; and finally the historic Barca da Ponte, on the banks of the Piave to the Volitive Temple of the so called Isola dei Morti.

B - The World War I – Conegliano and Vittorio Veneto |

The tour crosses the north-east of the province which also houses several museums related to the most significant events of World War I: from the Caves of Calieron, where Austro – Hungarian deposits where located, up to Conegliano with its famous Castle of S. Salvatore, the Centre of Artillery and the Gallery just below the Castle; then from the Museum of the Battle of Vittorio Veneto in Lucheschi Palace, headquarters of the Austro- Hungarian Command of the 6th Army Corps up to the Theatre in Serravalle, warehouse of the Austro –Hungarian equipment.

C - The World War I - Cima Grappa, Crespano del Grappa, Pederobba e Possagno |

Transport: by bus Suggested time: all-year Geographic location: foothill area (peak Cima Grappa, about 1700 meters above sea level)
The route goes through the extreme north - west of the province. It includes a visit to the Military Memorial Cima Grappa where 12,500 casualties of the War are buried; and then Galleria Vittorio Emanuele III, which extends for more than 5,000 meter below the Monte Grappa; then a stop in Crespano del Grappa to visit the Museum of Milan Barracks. The tour also includes a stop in Pederobba that houses the French Military Memorial, the Abbey of St. Bona in Vidor and, finally, Possagno to admire the splendid gallery of plaster casts of Canova, miraculously recovered from the damages of the bombing.
